Weaponsmith¶
Hired with a work contract, the weaponsmith works at a vanilla grindstone. It forges new tools and weapons, so your workers no longer need tools from you, grinds two worn tools into one and takes the enchantments off loot, for the experience.
Note
Ordinary (not hired) villagers still become vanilla weaponsmiths at grindstones. A vanilla weaponsmith can be hired directly: it stays at its grindstone, keeps its trades and becomes the weaponsmith of this mod. The weaponsmith trades like a vanilla weaponsmith.
Setting it up¶
- Place a grindstone and open it: the tabs above its screen lead to the overview. Link an input chest with the material and an output chest.
- Tab Order: click the products (up to 8, made in equal parts), set the stock, and below it what it does besides (< and >).
- Give it its wage.
Forging¶
It makes axes, pickaxes, shovels, hoes, swords, spears, shears and the mace after the vanilla crafting recipes, of cobblestone, copper, iron, gold or diamond, with sticks. Wooden tools are the carpenter's. It fetches material for up to 4 pieces at once and keeps the stock of each in its output chests. With a village chest as output chest your workers take their new tools from there by themselves: ore from the miner, ingots from the smith, sticks from the sawyer, tools from the weaponsmith.
Grinding together¶
Like a grindstone in your hands: two worn tools of the same kind (two iron axes) become one, with the durability of both plus 5%. It takes them from the village chests in reach, where workers give back their worn tools, and from its input chests, and brings the result back to the chest it came from. That saves ingots: the smith repairs with material, the weaponsmith without. Enchanted or renamed tools it leaves alone, a grindstone would take the enchantments off; those stay with the smith.
Disenchanting¶
Everything enchanted in its input chests (loot of the guards, treasure of the fisher, enchanted books) it disenchants like a grindstone: all enchantments but curses come off. The experience it fills into bottles o' enchanting, 7 per bottle, with glass bottles from its input chests or a village chest (the apothecary makes them). The smith repairs with them. It only takes from its input chests, so you decide what it disenchants.
What it does first¶
Grinding together and disenchanting come before the order. Below the stock you choose: both, only grinding together, only disenchanting, or only the order.
The menu shows how many pieces it made or disenchanted today.
