Librarian

Hired with a work contract, the librarian works at a vanilla lectern and enchants at an enchanting table nearby. It puts the experience your village collects to use: the Experience Bottle bottles o' enchanting of the guards and the weaponsmith become enchanted tools, weapons, armor and books.

Note

Ordinary (not hired) villagers still become vanilla librarians at lecterns. A vanilla librarian can be hired directly: it stays at its lectern, keeps its trades (enchanted books!) and becomes the librarian of this mod. The librarian trades like a vanilla librarian.

Setting it up

  1. Place a lectern and an Enchanting Table enchanting table within 6 blocks of it. Bookshelves around the table, like for you, make higher levels possible.
  2. Right-click the lectern with an empty hand (without a book on it): its overview opens. Link an input chest and an output chest.
  3. Tab Enchanted Book Settings: the level, "highest" by default.
  4. Give it its wage.

Enchanting

It enchants everything enchantable in its input chests: tools, weapons, armor, books (the tanner makes them). It works like you taking the best offer of the table:

  • The level is up to 30 with 15 bookshelves (two levels per bookshelf, at least 8 at a bare table), or lower if you set it at the lectern. The enchantments are chosen like at the table, also several at once.
  • The price instead of your levels: one bottle o' enchanting per 3 levels (10 at level 30) and 1 to 3 Lapis Lazuli lapis lazuli, like the three offers of the table. Bottles and lapis come from its input chests or a village chest in reach.

It takes up to 3 pieces at once, needs 3 seconds for each and brings them to its output chest. With a village chest as output chest your workers take the enchanted tools from there.

The settings tab shows how many bookshelves count, the level and what one piece costs. The menu shows how many pieces it enchanted today.
