Beta notes

Version 2 of Talking Villagers is a beta. It is a complete rewrite of version 1 for Minecraft 26.3, on Fabric and NeoForge.

  • Back up your worlds before you try it.
  • The voicepack format is version 2 and meant to stay. Packs you make now should keep working.
  • Settings, events and screens may still change before the release.

What is new

Everything, more or less: voicepacks as single files, the voicepack screen, the web editor, wandering traders, witches and illagers, 67 events, child voices, languages per village, commands and pack downloads on servers. The changelog lists it all.

Reporting bugs

Open an issue with your Minecraft version, loader (Fabric or NeoForge), mod version, what you did and the log (logs/latest.log). For problems with a pack, attach the pack or the output of /tv packs list.
